How do I add the widget?
Home screen: touch and hold an empty spot, tap Edit → Add widget, find Upword and pick the medium size to answer checks right in the widget. Lock screen: touch and hold the lock screen, tap Customize → Lock screen → the widget area, then add Upword. The app also has a guide in Settings → How to add the widget.
The widget doesn’t change or shows an old word.
The word changes every 3 hours (00:00, 03:00, 06:00 and so on, local time). iOS sometimes delays widget updates in Low Power Mode. Opening Upword once refreshes it; if it stays stuck, remove the widget and add it again.
I can’t tap the answers in the widget.
Answering inside the widget needs the medium size and iOS 17 or later. The small and lock screen widgets open the check in the app instead.
How do I restore my subscription?
Open Settings in Upword and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Upword. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
I don’t want the evening reminder.
Turn it off in Upword → Settings, or in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Upword.
How do I start over?
Settings → Reset progress clears your words, review dates and streak on this iPhone.
